I do not urge you to throw them out in the trash of history and forget, but I will try to point out some slippery moments that I personally are simply honest during the game, and which should be understood, and let’s say, correctly understanding these works. So, Cyberpank is a transgumanism, that is, the use of scientific and technological progress to go beyond human capabilities, it is cyber space as a separate line of narrative and even rather a place of action, this is their synthesis in a person through prosthetics. At the same time, it is the power of transnational corporations, it is a general poverty for the majority of the population, it is gigantic agglomerations and life in humanities, it is banditry, drug trade, incessant civil wars on the world periphery – in a word, High Tech, Low Life.

Cyberpank is a society of the victorious fascism: corporate fraud with the null and the state, the rigid stratification of people in the hierarchy, up to intervention in physiology, is by no means glass, but rather a reinforced concrete, armored ceiling that separates the steps of the social hierarchy, in a word, in the utopia, yes, anti -utopia. And I emphasize, transgumanism is precisely an external sign that emphasizes the division of society into non -laughing fractions. I’ll explain now.

Yes, this is a city in which each of his residents has several million bucks, but not one of them is rich – he can hire his neighbor to clean him, for example, boots. And yes, this is a very simplified picture, just as rude and grotesque as much as possible, but we are talking about cyberpanca, and not about the nature of money, so so far so. Therefore, wealth gives power when the poor surround you. Therefore, not a single truly major owner in the world of cyberpunk will never let anyone go upstairs in his right mind. And not one of the people with a lower rank is. Because the general has their own children. Thus, society is preserved into castes, of which the richest are the heads of these leviathans, and the most poor is the vast majority of the world’s population, wage workers and people whom Marx called the declassified element: bandits, drug dealers, prostitutes, etc., And so on … Well, between them somewhere else there are police and ordinary military corporations, since there should be people who support the established world order without diverse democratic screens in the world. Accordingly, several very limited groups of people have the opportunity to establish cybernetic prostheses for themselves. These are the heads of corporations and close ones, because they have money. These are people who ensure their safety, because their bosses have money. And these are people who support the world system, because their owners have money.

2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Therefore, we are moving directly to the case. As I said above, I really like both the last parts in terms of gameplay and game mechanic. But. The plot and setting is the subject of my personal pain, and in my two manifestations: both a fan of the genre in general and a fan of the first two games in particular.
If you ask me, what is the problem of the fourth part, I will answer: in the third. About the fact that, as an anti -utopia, she does not drag from the word “completely”, I buzzed all the ears to my acquaintances when I played in it. There is everything: homeless people who are dressed better than Kungurov, the cybersproots of the hands of office clerks and even a nice bourgeois, noble so much that looking at him you believe every figure of his tax return.

In short, the plot is as follows: using the hole in the Sharif industry security system – one of the largest augmentation corporations, a group of dangerous augmentated mercenaries penetrates production, whose purpose is to abduct a group of scientists, including a woman of the protagonist who worked on the development of some revolutionary projects capable of overwhelming the entire industry of cybernetic implants from their legs. During the wandering in the plot and free study of locations, we find out that:
1. The abducted group worked on a project designed to free Augmentated on dependence on the drug called “neuroposine”, which suppresses the rejection of prostheses by the human body;
2. The hole in which the mercenaries used was organized by order of the head of the corporation personally;
3. These two points are in no way connected.
At that moment, everything went to me for a well -known organ for me. As it turns out further, the head of the Chinese Corporation Ty Yun Medical, also producing prostheses, organized a raid. She rushed to capture the augmentation market, she also entrusted the chips in her prostheses, controlled by the general control center, she also arranged the so-called incident, when, under the influence of the chips, all the augmentated ones became infuriated and turned the world into a meat grinder for an hour. Naturally, by the will of the Illuminati. And no, I’m not saying that these two plots are incompatible, but they are lacking in the binding threads that would have done it all at least any meaningful.
For starters, I’ll say how I would like to see the plot with the abduction of scientists.
Neurosene is expensive, it needs it (everyone!) who implanted cybernetic increments. And here the fact is well -known: printer manufacturers receive the greatest profit not from printers at all, but from consumables to them – from ink. People who set themselves these prostheses are not poor people by definition, this is, in fact, the perfect dairy cow. In this situation, the discovery of those scientists would put corporations that produce this very neuroposine and selling this very neuroposin under a serious blow.
In this case, the plot would bring us to David Sharif himself-the founder Sharif Industiz and the organizer of the same hole in the safety, because of which the whole cheese-brow occurred. This is his profit suffer, this is in his interests.

But no, in Human Revolution, the plot with this development will not play at all. He will come up only later, in the next part. And given how it was mediocre this moment with a hole in the security system and the inconsistency with hacking all the prostheses in the world in general, when only the Chinese were sabotaged, I generally had such a feeling, as if initially everything was conceived as I described, but at some point in writing the script, the publisher entered the office and said: “This is not the case for me here! I’m not some Engels, rewrite!"
In fact, this hole was explained by the fact that the Sharif wanted to check the past of the former cop Adam Jensen, for which, in fact, we play. Anyway, in the plot of Human Revolution there are many such moments that were clearly written for another plot, but then urgently reoriented to the new. And the new one is, sorry, kindergarten.
In fact, we see “ours”, a good bourgeois, which is so much that even the shadows on his jacket are white, and “not ours”, an evil bourgeois, which is generally the essence of the embodiment of hell on earth, but in fact a pile of illuminates and generally Hitler in a skirt. But sometimes ideas that the authors were not going to invest in a finished work – they simply grew up in our world, and in it, whether or veiled, fascism is constantly growing. But to determine it, not knowing what he is, it is impossible. Therefore, with authors scenario, the demand is scanty. And players are better to be more attentive.
